In 1984, while on holiday in Guadeloupe, enthusiasm
for the land led Claude BOYER to carry out plantation trials. These were
soon convincing, and the following year a small programme was set up,
in association with a West Indian grower. Four years later, they took their commercial destiny into their own hands and founded the BOYER S.A. Company. |

In 1995, company capital rose to 2,500 KF and the firm extended
its market to other products: plums, grapes and pineapples, but still
observing the quality approach that had been constant since the start
of the business. The company became established in Spain, in the region
of Seville, and in Martinique (1997). Two very important years in the evolution of the company: In 1999, the BOYER family decided to build a packing station adapted to current or future quality and traceability standards. The chosen site was situated at Moissac, more precisely at the place name Borde Rouge, on a land area of 41,000 sq. m. and with a building of 10,000 sq. m. To reinforce their decision, they agreed to the purchase of the MARTIN SA Company situated at Saint-Laurent Lolmie in the Lot department, with the approval of the O.P. QUERCYFEL growers and the directors of that company. The aim was to increase the intake of goods towards the new station and ensure a profitability balance

In April 2000, the ONEZIME SA Company was acquired via the BD BOYER DEVELOPPEMENT holding. This enabled the BOYER group to concentrate the supply of its product leaders (melon, plum, grape) and make optimum use of its human resources. The merger between the MARTIN SA and the BOYER SA took place in this same month. The station was inaugurated on 1st July in the presence of local, regional and national (Metropolitan and overseas departments) personalities from politics, administration and business. International personalities from Spain, Italy and Belgium were also present. The company obtained ISO 9002 certification in October. A substantial increase in intake tonnage was achieved with the neighbouring Growers' Associations : AGMM, CFQG, QUALIFRUIT, QUERCYFEL.

With the arrival of the Euro in 2002, the capital of the company passed to 1 200 KEuros. In 2004, after a difficult year for Fruit and Vegetables, the company transformed itself into a Simplified Joint Stock Company (S.A.S). At the same time, the activity of S.A. ONEZIME was brought under BOYER S.A.S lease management to optimise synergies. On a positive note, the company celebrated the 40th birthday of the name PHILIBON and the 20th anniversary of their presence in the West Indies. 2005 is a key year for BOYER S.A.S. During this year the company will settle in Marocco and increase its contributions in the South East by means of the rental of CARDELL buildings (for better customer care in its annual agenda) |

Strategy and Perspectives |
Company strategy is quality positioning. We strive to establish our produce in the European community, and are open to global commerce. For this, the company participates in international shows where it meets customers who greatly appreciate our products.

|
|
Specialisation in quality products has to reinforce the melons, plums and grapes sector in the Great South West Basin and to procure a fair wage to the producers. | |||||||
